October 29: Nordic Ski Team Meeting for Middle School and High School Students & Parents. 6pm, Discovery Middle School

Nordic Raffle Fundraiser. The more tickets you purchase, the greater the odds you’ll win! Each ticket costs $10 and comes with a chance at one of three $250 prizes. Winners will be drawn on December 1, January 1, and February 1. You have until November 22 to purchase raffle tickets from students on the team. You do not have to be present to win. Winners will be announced on instagram @alexnordicskiclub and contacted by phone.

November 3 & 5: Student Ski Rental Fitting Session. This is our 2nd year offering affordable ski rentals to our Middle and High School students. The skis we rent are best suited for students who are new to skiing (1-2 years). Our goal is to eliminate the financial barriers that often prohibit or cause students and families to shy away from the sport. Regardless of experience level, we rent to all students. Fittings are held at the home of Chad & Heidi Bergerson, 3333 Sundance Circle NW, Alexandria, MN 56308 

November 7: Intro to Waxing Clinic for Students & Parents. 6pm, Discovery Middle School. For families new to the sport, Nordic can seem overwhelming and filled with technical language that is hard to understand. Join us on November 7 at Discovery Middle School where we’ll give an introduction to equipment, how to care for skis and how to wax for the conditions. No signup necessary.

MYXC Youth Ski Club, ages 4-14. No ski experience necessary. At Ski Club, kids learn to cross-country ski and enjoy a lifelong winter sport. Kids are divided into groups according to age & ability led by trained volunteer coaches who teach new skills through fun games, as they explore the trails together.  ($40 reg., $35 rental, 8 sessions, Jan 5 - Feb 23). Junior National Qualifying Race Team. The ski club is sponsoring students interested in skiing at the 4 Salomon Cup race weekends, held in Coleraine, MN; Cable, WI; and Theodore Wirth Park in Minneapolis.
